Meet Your Therapists

Courtney Becker, OTR/L

Founder & Occupational Therapist

I started my Occupational Therapy journey at St. Louis University where I not only received my Masters degree, but also fell in love with the profession. I grew my career spending all of my 13 years of practice in the hospital setting as a treating therapist as well as mentor and assistant manager. This gave me an opportunity to increase my knowledge and expertise in leadership and training in an interdisciplinary setting. My love and passion was for the patients on the rehab unit. People that were in most cases facing a traumatic change in their lives and ability levels and giving them another chance at a better outcome.

Some of my greatest assets as a therapist are my creativity and determination. I am a problem solver and love working together until we find a solution.

No problem is too big and I love finding a way for patients be successful and achieve their goals.

In late 2023, I teamed with Megan, a friend and co-worker to form Be Home Healthcare. As a rehab therapist, I performed countless home evaluations and have realized there is nothing better than seeing people not only return home after an illness or injury, but to be able to get their life back and truly thrive doing what they love. Occupational therapy is all about giving you the ability to gain not only your independence but also to get you back to doing what means most to you. What better way to do that than to meet you right in your own environment!

Founder & Occupational Therapist

I had a dream of following a career path that would not only allow me to help those in need, but also be flexible as I began to prepare to start a family with my husband. That is why I  left a corporate career in healthcare staffing and recruiting to become an Occupational Therapist. After leaning more about Allied Health Disciplines and really learning how to differentiate the roles of physical, occupational and speech therapists in hospital and rehab settings, I knew OT was for me! This experience lead me to attend Xavier University where I obtained a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.

I have been an Occupational Therapist since 2012. I completed a four month clinical rotation at a local hospital on their inpatient rehab unit. It was during that time that I forged a strong bond with my co-worker and who then became my mentor, and ultimately by business partner, Courtney.

Throughout our years of providing care to patients suffering from some of the most complex and often tragic medical conditions, we BOTH grew and expanded our abilities to problem solve and develop client-centered, effective treatment plans to get our patients HOME. I have always had the ability to form a deep bond with patients, fostering a trusting and safe environment. How do I build that trust? By being empathetic, understanding, and sincere in all my efforts. Once I become your occupational therapist, I will always be your occupational therapist.
